Jamshedpur, December 12: The three-year tenure of the current committee of Tata Workers Union will end on 21 February 2024.
According to the constitution of the union, the election process has to be completed two months before the end of the tenure of the union.
In such a situation, it is expected that the election process will start in the second fortnight of January 2024 (after January 15) and the entire process will be completed within a month (by February 15).
If union sources are to be believed, internal preparations for the elections have started and union officials are serious about it. Currently the top three of Tata Workers Union are on a tour of Netherlands and will arrive in the city on 13th December. It is being speculated that as soon as the top three reach the city, an election atmosphere will start forming in the union.
If elections are held in February, then outgoing vice president Shatrughan Rai will not contest the elections. He is retiring on 31 January. At the same time, many committee members are also retiring. This time the number of NS grade committee members may increase. By the way, the top three of Tata Workers Union are together since the last elections. There was no conflict between them on any issue. In such a situation, they can contest together in the coming elections also.
