Tata Workers Union officials hailed after Tata Steel bonus agreement 

Jamshedpur, September 4: Tata Steel employees will get a maximum bonus of Rs 4,61,019 lakh this year.

After the bonus agreement signed on Monday, it has been decided that the employees will get the bonus amount by September 11 this year.

According to the agreement of Tata Workers Union, this year the employees were getting only Rs 298.82 crore under the fixed formula. There was a shortfall of about Rs 15.88 crore in 20 per cent bonus.

Tata Workers Union president Sanjeev Chaudhary held a round of meetings with general secretary Satish Singh and deputy president Shailesh Singh and went straight to Tata Steel CMD TV Narendran. He urged the CMD that since the employees have worked hard. The productivity of the employees has increased significantly, hence additional amount should be given as bonus to the employees.

After this, following the request of the union, after the approval of the CMD of Tata Steel, an additional amount of about Rs 15.88 crore was given. After this amount, the way was cleared for the employees to get 20 percent bonus this year also.

Tata Steel employees and committee members welcomed the top three including the president with drums  for a better bonus agreement. He was welcomed with a big garland. The top three including the president were welcomed amid fireworks and singing.
