Karim City College Urdu Department seminar on Zaki Anwar

Jamshedpur, Sept 4: Karim City College’s Urdu PG Department organized a seminar themed on, ‘Zaki Anwar: Bahaisiyat Afsana Nigar’ in which, final semester students Md Adil Mavara Faiyaz, Ghazala Parveen and Gulfsha Parveen presented their papers on the works of the famous Urdu storyteller and they dwelt on Zaki Anwar’s narrative style, the themes of his stories and biographical sketches.

The seminar was chaired by the Head of the Urdu department, Dr Afsar Kazmi. The chief guest on the occasion was the Controller of Examinations and senior Professor, Dr B N Tripathy.

Dr Afsar Kazmi while reminiscing on Zaki Anwar, shared valuable insights into the author’s life and work. Certificates were presented to the four students by the chief guest, Dr B N Tripathi.

Professor of the Urdu Department, Mohammad Isha along with students were also present at the seminar. The vote of thanks was offered by  Dr Shahbaz Ansari. (w/gsd)
