Jamshedpur, Sept 8: Tata Workers Union (TWU) felicitated retired employees of Tata Steel, Jamshedpur on Monday. The program was held at the union’s conference hall where 19 retired employees were recognized for their service.
Each retiree was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a gift coupon as a token of respect. The event was conducted by TWU Vice President, Shahnawaz Alam. Union President, Sanjeev Choudhary “Tunnu,” attended as the chief guest and personally interacted with all the retired employees, enquiring about their well-being.
Choudhary also shared information about the facilities available for retired employees through the union, including Puri Guest House, Benjamin Rest House, and Cancer Rest House. He listened to the concerns raised by the retirees and assured them of full support from the union.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Secretary, Nitesh Raj. Other senior office bearers present included Vice President Sanjay Kumar Singh, Assistant Secretary Shyam Babu, and Treasurer Amod Kumar Dubey.
Speaking on the occasion, union leaders emphasized that the felicitation program is a gesture of gratitude for the decades of service rendered by the employees to Tata Steel. They added that the union will continue to stand by the retired workforce and provide them with all possible assistance.
