Jamshedpur, March 27: The Tata Workers Union (TWU) has scheduled a committee meeting for Friday, March 29 at 9:30 am. This meeting will mark the first gathering post-elections, a departure from the usual protocol due to internal conflicts delaying previous meetings. A circular issued on Monday, signed by General Secretary Satish Singh, outlined three main agendas including paying tribute and passing accounts from September 2023 to February 2024, as well as welcoming and introducing new committee members. Notably, any additional matters have been excluded from the agenda.
Former Deputy President Arvind Pandey has expressed dissent, submitting a letter to the President and General Secretary. Pandey argued that the absence of other issues on the agenda was a matter of concern, given the prolonged gap since the last meeting and the importance of addressing pressing issues facing members. He highlighted concerns over reduced committee membership and challenges regarding employee promotions and issues related to the CBSE. Pandey requested an opportunity to voice his concerns and emphasized the need for adherence to procedural norms, including the timely provision of departmental information.
