Jamshedpur, Mar 31: Tata Workers Union (TWU)  management has cancelled booking at all its club houses in view of the spurt in Covid-19 cases in the city.
A circular in this connection was issued on Wednesday cancelling booking at all the 11 club houses for hosting of marriage and other functions of Tata Steel employees.
Significantly, booking of any club houses for any function begins three months in advance at the union office.
The TWU general secretary Satish Singh has in the circular asked all the employees willing to host functions at the club house should take permission from the deputy commissioner’s office and ensure that limited number of guests are invited and social distancing is adhered to strictly.  Only after permission from the deputy commissioner can the TWU office issue booking on the specified date in line with the Jharkhand government guidelines for Covid-19.  The TWU directive also states that those employees whose booking have been cancelled will be refunded the entire amount given during booking.
