Tata Steel’s Security, Fire Teams recognised for excellence

79 employees recognised at Jamshedpur ceremony for excellence in safety, security and brand protection

Jamshedpur, December 26: Security, Fire & Brand Protection Department, Tata Steel Limited organized a Reward and Recognition Ceremony today at Steelenium Hall, Jamshedpur. The programme highlighted the department’s significant contribution in protection of assets, operations, and reputation of the organisation.

The Chief Guest, DB Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services, lauded the 24×7 commitment of the Security and Fire teams and urged all employees to prioritize safe practices at the workplace. He emphasized that Security, Fire and Brand Protection form one of the strongest pillars of Tata Steel, safeguarding employees, assets, and the organization’s reputation. He emphasised that the team should strive to create excellence at every touch point.

The event was graced by the presence of Arvind Kumar Sinha, Chief Security (TSJ & RM) & Brand Protection; Neeraj Kumar Sinha, Chief Safety; Rajesh Chintak, CHRO India RM and Enabling Functions, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Vice President – Tata Workers’ Union; and  Shahnawaz Khan, Union Committee Member – Fire Services. The speakers appreciated the department’s role in disaster and crisis management, prompt public support extended by Fire Services, and effective control of counterfeit and illegal activities through Brand Protection initiatives.

On this occasion, a total of 79 company and vendor employees of Security and Fire personnel were honoured in Jamshedpur for their outstanding performance in security operations, crime control, exemplary fire service contributions, and disciplined conduct. The ceremony witnessed the participation of over 500 employees in person and 300 online from Tata Steel and its service partners.

It was further highlighted that the Security and Fire teams work 24×7, 365 days, across events, emergencies, and daily operations, playing a vital role in ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for Tata Steel employees and stakeholders.
