Tata Steel’s Iron Making wins ID Lagori women tournament in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 26: Tata Steel’s Sports Department organised Inter Divisional Lagori Tournament (Women) on July 25 and 26 at the Archery Ground, JRD Tata Sports Complex. Chief Guest, Neelam Kumari, Sr. Manager, Accounts & Establishment, Sports, Tata Steel, Unit Representatives Rajiv Ranjan Singh (West Bokaro) and Rajiv Mishra (Iron Making) graced the occasion.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 270 participants from 19 units of Tata Steel.

In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Iron Making emerged as the winners, showcasing their prowess and determination, whereas the team from General Office bagged the runner’s up position. West Bokaro emerged as the 2nd runner’s up in this tournament.

To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules, the tournament benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, including Firoze Khan, Arshad Ali, Chintamani, Deepak Kumar and Manjit Singh who performed their roles admirably. Besides Sanjeev Kumar (Manager Sports) and Ananya Lepii (Assistant Manager Sports).

Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the tournament. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Lagori skills and foster a healthy competition.
