Tata Steel’s H Blast Furnace wins National Energy Conservation Awards  

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel’s H Blast Furnace was honored with the first prize by President Draupadi Murmu for its outstanding achievements in the field of energy conservation in the recently held National Energy Conservation Awards 2023 in New Delhi.

 

The award was accepted by Chief of Blast Furnace, Padmapal, along with his team members Chief H Blast Furnace Shambhunath, Head H Blast Furnace Radhe Raman, and Sumit Dubey. A total of 187 applications were received from the industry sector across four categories for this prestigious award. Under Padmapal’s leadership, the H Blast Furnace implemented the “Use of Coke Dry Quenching System Fuel Consumption” project. Chief Shambhunath credited every employee of H Blast Furnace for the success of the project. The award is conferred by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, in recognition of exemplary efforts in energy conservation.
