Jamshedpur, Sept 18: In observance of the 9th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission and the 2nd anniversary of SBM-U 2.0, Tata Steel UISL has launched the “Swachhata Hi Seva” fortnight, running from September 15 to October 2, 2023.

As part of this fortnight-long initiative, TSUISL marked Seva Divas on September 17, 2023, by collaborating with the NCC team of the 37th Jharkhand Battalion and several NGOs to undertake a comprehensive cleaning operation at Gandhi Ghat.

More than 400 dedicated volunteers actively participated in this cleanliness drive, championing the cause of a clean Jamshedpur city. The objective of this drive was to encourage citizens to uphold cleanliness standards and proudly represent the city as the “Jamshedpur Jaguars” in the upcoming “Indian Swachhata League (ISL 2.0).”

In addition to the Gandhi Ghat cleanup, another 150 volunteers assembled at Jubilee Park, joining forces with Tata Consulting Engineers, to contribute to the city’s cleanliness endeavors. These activities were carried out in close coordination with the JNAC (Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee) team, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful approach to maintaining cleanliness.

The “Swachhata Hi Seva” fortnight serves as a poignant reminder of the significance of cleanliness and hygiene in our daily lives. It also underscores the remarkable progress achieved over the past nine years in the Swachh Bharat Mission, affirming the ongoing commitment to building a cleaner and healthier India.

Tata Steel UISL extends its heartfelt appreciation to all those who have collectively played a pivotal role in advancing the cause of cleanliness and instilling a sense of responsibility among citizens, thereby making a substantial difference in the community.
