Jamshedpur: On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, Tata Steel UISL undertook plantation drives, reinforcing its focus on sustainability and urban forestation.
At N Road, Bistupur, around 500 saplings of species such as Bakul, Karanj, Neem, Arjun, Jamun, Kadamb, Peltophorum, Gulmohar, Mango, and Sita Ashok were planted. Selected for their fast propagation, these species will support the rapid expansion of urban green cover. The drive saw participation from over 300 employees and was graced by Pranay Sinha, Chief Corporate Services, Tata Steel, and Atul Kumar Bhatnagar, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL.
A parallel drive at Combi Mill, led by the Horticulture Services team, saw the plantation of 200 flowering saplings.
These initiatives reaffirm Tata Steel UISL’s commitment to strengthening green infrastructure and advancing sustainable urban ecosystems.
