Jamshedpur, August 4: Tata Steel UISL won the first prize at the Tata Steel REACH Competition 2025. A total of 76 projects from different units of Tata Steel and its subsidiaries participated in the competition.
The winning project, titled “Green Flames – Powered by Waste, Driven by SMART Purpose,” stood out for its innovative and sustainable approach towards waste-to-energy transformation. The project exemplifies TSUISL’s commitment to environmental stewardship, safety excellence, and operational efficiency through smart solutions.
The rigorous competition comprised three rounds of evaluation and scrutiny, ensuring that only the most impactful and executable ideas rose to the top.
The award was presented today by Mr. Rajiv Mangal, Vice President – EHS, Tata Steel in presence of Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL, during a grand ceremony held at Stellinium Hall, recognizing the team’s outstanding contribution to health, safety, and environmental innovation.
This achievement highlights Tata Steel UISL’s continued focus on sustainable practices and reinforces its position as a leader in driving green initiatives within the Tata Steel ecosystem.
