Tata Steel UISL begins piped drinking water supply in Jamshedpur’s 10 No. Busti

Jamshedpur, April 14: In a major step towards improving basic infrastructure in underserved areas, Tata Steel UISL has started piped drinking water supply in 10 No. Busti from today. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to extend piped water to all bustees and unserved localities within its service areas in Jamshedpur.

New water pipelines have been laid across Shukia Road, Sindhu Road, and Padma Road, effectively covering the entire 10 No. Busti area. The network has been designed to cater to nearly 1,000 households. Initially, 109 households—who have completed the necessary formalities—will receive piped water from the Town Water System.

Tata Steel UISL is encouraging more residents to apply for new water connections to benefit from the improved and reliable water supply. So far, approximately 150 residents have submitted application forms, showing growing interest in the service.

This project aligns with Tata Steel UISL’s broader vision of sustainable urban development and improving the quality of life through better civic amenities. With the launch of the water supply today, the company has urged remaining residents of 10 No. Busti to take advantage of the opportunity and apply for their household connections.
