Tata Steel to recruit engineers

Jamshedpur, August 21: Tata Steel has invited applications for its Aspiring Engineer Program, with special focus on female candidates. The selected applicants will undergo one year of engineering training, after which top performers will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager at the IS-6 level.

Eligible candidates must have completed BE, B Tech, BSc Engineering in fields such as Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mineral, Mining, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechatronics. Additionally, those with M Tech or MSc degrees in Geology, Geophysics, Remote Sensing, or Geoinformatics are also eligible to apply. Candidates currently in their second or final year of a Direct Engineering program after a three-year diploma course may also apply.

Applicants must have completed their qualifications by March 2020 from an AICTE-approved institution. A minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 65% marks is required for general candidates, while transgender, PWD, SC, and ST candidates need a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 60% marks. Candidates must be domiciled in Jharkhand or Odisha, with an age limit of 30 years for general candidates and 32 years for transgender, PWD, and SC/ST candidates.

During the one-year training, selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs 30,000 per month, along with Mediclaim benefits, including Rs 2.5 lakh coverage for hospital treatment and Rs 6,000 for OPD services annually. After successful completion of the training, the candidates will be offered a CTC package of Rs 7 lakh per year as Assistant Managers.

Applications can be submitted through Tata Steel’s website until September 4, 2024. Permanent employees of Tata Steel are not eligible to apply.
