JFC Reserves held to 1-1 draw against BSLFA
Jamshedpur, Sept 5: Tata Steel stamped their authority in the Premier Division with a resounding 4-1 win over Jharkhand Sporting Club at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium, Telco, on Friday. The victory was powered by goals from Sunil Lohar, Aashaman Hembram, Rahul Mukhi, and Vikash Nayak, while Jharkhand Sporting Club could only manage a late consolation through Sukhlal Hembram.

The match came alive in the 14th minute when Sunil Lohar broke the deadlock for Tata Steel. Just before halftime, Aashaman Hembram doubled the lead, giving Tata Steel a comfortable cushion. In the second half, Tata Steel showed their dominance as Rahul Mukhi struck in the 63rd minute, followed closely by Vikash Nayak’s goal two minutes later, effectively sealing the contest.
Jharkhand Sporting Club’s misery deepened when Sakla Mardi was sent off in the 58th minute after receiving two yellow cards. Although Sukhlal Hembram pulled one back in the 78th minute, the contest was well beyond their reach.

Meanwhile, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur FC Reserves were held to a hard-fought 1-1 draw by Babulal Soren Football Academy (BSLFA). Budhan Soren opened the scoring for BSLFA as early as the 6th minute, but JFC Reserves equalised before the break through Devjit Majumdar in the 42nd minute.
The second half was tense, marked by heavy tackles and multiple bookings. JFC’s Mars Ningthoujam was sent off in the 55th minute for a second yellow card, leaving his side with ten men. Soon after, BSLFA also went down to ten when Budhan Soren was dismissed in the 60th minute. Despite chances at both ends, neither side could find the winner, and the points were shared.
Both matches showcased grit, intensity, and high drama, setting the stage for more exciting Premier Division action in Jamshedpur.
