Tata Steel introduces new category for kids aged 4-6
Jamshedpur, April 28: Tata Steel is set to organize the Summer Camp 2025 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex from May 9 to 30, 2025. The registration for the camp opened today and will remain open until May 15, 2025.
Addressing a press meet at JRD Tata Sports Complex Monday, Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel highlighted that this year’s summer camp will also be conducted at various Tata Steel locations including Tata Steel Kalinganagar, Tata Steel Meramandali, Raw Material locations, Tata Steel Growth Shop, and Tata Steel Gamharia. The camp will offer a wide range of activities such as cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and athletics.
“We are excited to offer a comprehensive summer camp experience that goes beyond just sports,” said Chanakya Chaudhary. “This is a great opportunity for youngsters to not only practice their favourite sports but also learn important life skills like teamwork, discipline, and build lasting friendships.”
For the first time, a new category has been introduced for children aged 4-6 years, with activities including roller skating, athletics, kids’ Zumba, and football, informed Vibhuti Adesara, Head, Sports Events and Training Centres, Tata Steel.
She stated that in line with Tata Steel’s commitment to community development, the camp will sponsor 100 children from the Masti Ki Pathshala Programme and 40 children from the SC/ST community. The camp will also provide training in various disciplines such as swimming, archery, horse riding, volleyball, hockey, and roller skating.
Additionally, informative sessions on topics like ‘good touch and bad touch’, menstrual hygiene, and nutrition for sports will be conducted to sensitize young participants. Water marshals and hydration arrangements have been made to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in the summer heat.
Besides the activities, attractive discount packages for kids and their families at the Zoological Park and Nicco Jubilee Park is also being given, added Adesara.
