Jamshedpur, May 2: Tata Steel Skill Development Society (TSSDS) has achieved 100 percent placement of trainees enrolled in its housekeeping course.
All 21 girl trainees of the 14th batch of the two-month course were given job offer letters at a valedictory function held at Hospitality Training Centre in Kolebira.
Girls, who have secured placement, hail from East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Dhanbad districts of Jharkhand.
The 21 successful trainees will join Hotel Della Adventure Resort, Lonavala, Hotel Regency Lagoon Resort, Rajkot, Hotel Pragati Resort, Hyderabad, Hotel Country Club, Pune and Golden Leaf Resort, Jamshedpur. The salaries offered to these trainees range from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000 along with other incentives.
Amitabh, head, Skill Development, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Tata Steel, Father Emil, faculty and staff members were present at the function.
In its bid to fulfill the demand of trained manpower in hospitality sector, Tata Steel along with Indian Hotels and PRATHAM, an NGO, has been training students from economically weaker sections at its Hospitality Training Centre in Kolebira since 2013.
