Jamshedpur, May 2: A case has been registered against former Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA and erstwhile state minister Dulal Bhuiyan and his brother Baldev Bhuiyan on charges of assault and tearing a JMM party flag in a place under the Sitaramdera police station.
The case has been filed on the statement of Ashish Namta.
Narrating the incident, Ashish said, �I was going to the tailor shop of Vishnu Pradhan to get the party flag stitched. While on my way, Dulal Bhuiyan called me using abusive languages near Lal Puliya Chowk in Home Pipe area and asked me to sit in his car.�
He added, �When I tried to object, he along with his brother assaulted me and threaten to kill me. They said �no JMM leader will come to protect you�.�
Subsequently, Dulal allegedly ripped the flag and threaten to blow up the shop. According to Ashish, two months before this incident, Dulal had torn another party flag and banner.
On the other hand, a case has also been registered against Ashish Namta, Umakant Das and Vishnu accusing them of tearing the flag of Congress party near Indranagar Lady chowk on the statement of Baldev Bhuiyan.
Bhuiyan alleged that when he opposed, the trio assaulted and used abusive languages.
