Jamshedpur, Jan 2: Chankaya Chaudhary, vice president, corporate services, Tata Steel, while delivering the welcome address, said that the company maintains around 500 to 600 Km of roads in the city. Around 4 to 5 kms of roads are being widened every year. He went on to add that the company has earmarked several roads where traffic flow is much higher, those roads are being widened to make them safer for commuters.
He informed that a master plan is being prepared by Tata Steel for the development of Jamshedpur. We are also working on the possibility of building a flyover. Preparations have been made at different levels for the development of the city. As part of the plan, new roads and parks will be built. Apart from this, efforts are also being made for the upkeep of the Keenan Stadium. “After the death of former JSCA President Amitabh Chaudhary, talks could not be held on the issue of Keenan,” he added.
Chaudhary further said that new facilities are being added to TMH. After the Diabetes Center, new centers are being set up for better treatment of the patients. Soon TMH will announce an extension for the health package for all the citizens of Jamshedpur.
He promised advanced infrastructure development with a special focus on roads. He also stressed the need for participation by one and all for the all-around growth of the city. “With the cooperation of everyone we would like to take Jamshedpur to a different level and make it an attractive place,” he said addressing the august gathering.
