Jamshedpur: Annual convocation ceremony of various �Women Empowerment� programs was organised by Urban Services at R.D. Bhatta Centre yesterday.
Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, Head (Prim. Steel Making), LD Shop Number 2 and Slab Caster, Tata Steel graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
He appreciated the initiatives of Urban Services Department under the Corporate Relations Division of Tata Steel and also suggested that such programmes should encourage larger segment of women from bastis.
He said that these initiatives empower the women to become self-dependent. 66 certificates were distributed to successful students.
