Jamshedpur: Indira Vishwanathan, 87, mother of Tata Steel CEO and Managing Director TV Narendran, passed away on Wednesday. She suffered from age-related illness, sources said.
Sources said the octogenarian was not well for the last one and a half month. She was recently treated for several days at Tata Main Hospital. She was at home during her last hours. After her meals, she went to sleep. Around 4 am, Narendran took her to TMH where doctors declared her dead.
The last rites of Narendran�s mother would take place tomorrow. Tata Workers Union leaders and other well-wishers including company high-ups reached the Tata Steel MD�s residence soon after getting the news of his mother�s demise.
