Tata Steel joins hand with VLCC to empower women

Jamshedpur, Jan 13: Tata Steel in its objective to transform unskilled human resource to a productive resource pool for self-growth, societal development and as a part of its youth empowerment program, Urban Services department of the company has collaborated with VLCC Vocational Training Institute, India�s largest fitness, Health & Beauty brand, to help upgrade the skills of women in context of beauty and personal care industry.

The programme is targeted at semi-trained female in its operational areas in Jamshedpur.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Urban Services, Tata Steel and VLCC Health Care Limited to facilitate this endeavour.

Biren Ramesh Bhuta, Chief, CSR, Tata Steel and Jatin Rai, DGM, Channel Dev. & Ops, VLCC Health Care Ltd, Gurgaon, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on January 7, 2014.

Under the agreement, VLCC will provide training in Advanced Diploma in Cosmetology as part of a six-month course.
