Tata Steel Jamshedpur invites application for Trade Apprenticeship

Jamshedpur, Sep 2: Tata Steel has invited applications from Schedule Tribe (ST) candidates of Jharkhand for Trade Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

As per the notification, eligible candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination in all subjects with minimum aggregate marks of 60% and they must have English, Science and Mathematics as subjects in Matriculation or equivalent examination. The candidate must have been born between 01-July-2002 and 01-Jan-2007 including these two dates.

The candidates should have height of152 cm (for boys) and 142 cm (for girls) with expansion of chest 5 cm and eyesight 6/6 in both eyes with glass, normal colour vision and weight 45 kg for boys and 40 kg for girls. Power of glasses should be plus or minus 4.0 maximum. The candidates should be Jharkhand domiciles.

As per the notification, “The candidates on selection in Apprenticeship Training will be registered in Apprenticeship Portal and get a stipend during training period as specified in the Apprentices Act, provided the performance and conduct is found satisfactory. Allocation of Trade and Duration of Training: Allotment of trades will be based on merit of the candidate in the interview. The training duration will be of 2 years based on the attendance and individual module pass marks (governed by training reference manual). The Apprentices Training Programme is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its latest amendments. On successful completion of the training and being awarded the National Apprenticeship Certificate on clearing the All India Trade Test (AITT), if appointed, the candidate can be placed at any location of Tata Steel Ltd or its subsidiary or any of the group companies of Tata Steel Ltd. During their training period, the out-station candidates will be provided free hostel accommodation with food (at subsidized rates). On-line application will be open from 02-Sept-2022 to 10-Sept- 2022. Admit Card will be released on 19-Sept-2022. Centre Based Written Test will be conducted on 23-Sept-2022. Last date of submission of duly filled online application form: 10th September 2022. No hard copy of the document to be submitted. All required documents to be attached in the online application, in absence of which the application may be rejected. The candidate needs to pay the required charges as quoted in the advertisement (Rs. 500/-) to be eligible for taking the assessment. Selection will be done based on Centre Based Online Written Test followed by Personal Interview and Medical Examination.
