Jamshedpur, March 18: Tata Steel has issued a circular to employees and officers, stating that fresh passes would be required for all four-wheelers. Employees can apply for the new gate pass through a provided link or QR code between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Security personnel will replace old passes with new ones, and entry for four-wheelers will only be permitted through the new pass. The new passes will feature holograms and unique QR codes for enhanced security measures. Additionally, redesigned stickers for four-wheelers and various types of stickers for all vehicles are being introduced. While the changes aimed to improve security, sources suggested a purpose to restrict the entry of four-wheelers. Tata Steel also plans to launch a bus service to facilitate parking outside the premises, reducing vehicle movement within the company premises and promoting punctuality.
