Tata Steel Jamshedpur implements strict measures for ‘Safety-Zero Injury’

Jamshedpur, Feb 15: Tata Steel has introduced stringent measures concerning safety and zero injury within the company. The rules for IL 2 to IL 6-level officers have been reinforced to identify responsibility in case of any accidents.

Under the new regulations, officers suspected of involvement in accidents will have their promotions suspended pending investigation. Promotions for all employees will be suspended during this period.

Following investigations, officers found responsible will face varying degrees of consequences. Those found liable for accidents will have their promotions suspended for six months, even if previously granted. The duration of promotion suspension will vary according to officer level, with some facing up to one year without promotion. Officers associated with safety will also face promotion suspensions.
