Jamshedpur, April 22: General Office Recreation Club (GORC) located inside Tata Steel Jamshedpur Works is celebrating Golden Jubilee this year. A function was organised at GORC Canteen on Saturday to mark the occasion.
Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel, Atrayee Sanjay, Vice President Human Resource Management, Tata Steel, Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President, Tata Workers’ Union (TWU), Zubin Palia, Chairman, GORC and other senior representatives of Union and officials were present during the function.
On the occasion, 27 employees of GORC were felicitated for their distinguished and long service.
GORC canteen was set up on April 20, 1973 near the General Office gate inside Tata Steel Jamshedpur Works.
A separate dining hall was made by the partition of the Canteen Hall besides installation of new furniture and air-conditioners in the year 2018.
From December 2022, buffet lunch was introduced.
