Tata Steel Jamshedpur employees quarantine period reduced to 10 days

Jamshedpur : Tata Steel has changed its current system after the amendments made in the COVID 19 rules by the Jharkhand government. Under this, employees who have been found to be asymptomatic in rapid antigen test, trunet or RT-PCR test will remain in home quarantine for 10 days instead of 14 from the day they took the sample.

On Thursday, the company management issued a circular in this regard. Employees who are working at Tata Steel will now have to report themselves from 9 am to 6 pm at TMH’s Covid Screening Center on the 11th day instead of 15. If found negative, such employees will have to stay in the home quarantine for six days instead of 13 after completing 11 days instead of 15. Then such employees will be able to join duty again on the 18th day instead of the 29th day.

If employees are still found positive in the Rapid Antigen Test after the completion of the period, then under the new arrangement they will have to reach the TMH Screening Center for re-examination on the 11th day instead of the 15th. If negative, such employees will have to submit an online affidavit on the seventh day instead of the next 14 before joining the duty.
