Tata Steel Jamshedpur employee found hanging in room

Jamshedpur, April 26: Manish Das, an employee of Tata Steel, was found dead by hanging in a quarter near the Ganesh Puja ground under Kadma police station. The incident came to light when Gopal, a clothes vendor near the quarter, alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, Kadma police forced entry into the quarter and retrieved Manish’s body.

According to reports, Manish’s family was away in Pune for a wedding when the tragedy occurred. Upon notification, they hastened back to Jamshedpur. The police, upon searching the room, found burnt cigarettes and a diary containing melancholic poems that hinted at Manish’s state of depression.

The police have retained custody of the body in the mortuary pending further investigation. They are awaiting the arrival of Manish’s family.
