Jamshedpur, July 1: Devashish Gorai, an employee of Tata Steel residing in Majhi Tola under Adityapur police station in Seraikela Kharsawan district, passed away during the Kedarnath-Badrinath Yatra. He was the sole breadwinner of his family.
Devashish had embarked on the pilgrimage with friends and colleagues to seek blessings at Baba Barfani. Following the darshan on Saturday, he returned to his hotel on Sunday. Feeling unwell, he opted to rest while his friends went out for a walk. Upon their return, they found the door locked from inside. After breaking in, they discovered Devashish unconscious. He was rushed to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
The news has left Devashish’s family in turmoil, particularly his wife and daughter. Currently, arrangements are being made to transport his body back to the city by road.
