Jamshedpur: Tata Steel in association with VLCC, a premier wellness services and products provider, formally launched its vocational training institute at Bhalubasa community Centre, Jamshedpur on January 26, 2015. A set of 20 students have enrolled in the first batch.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony Chief Guest Ruchi Narendran, said ‘We are delighted to partner a progressive organization like VLCC in this marvelous initiative that is aimed at empowering the young boys and girls of Jamshedpur to obtain skill sets that will help them to be in a position to find jobs or become gainfully self-employed in the fast growing beauty and wellness industry’.
As part of the arrangement between Tata Steel and VLCC, students will undergo a 6-month, 576 hour training in the beauty services like disciplines of Skin, Hair and Make Up.
The Institute will also provide them certificate of ‘Advanced Diploma in Cosmetology’ on successful completion of the course.
VLCC will bear the cost of equipment and consumables necessary for the training and also provide the faculty. Assistance will also be provided to the trained students for job placement within the wellness industry.
