Tata Steel imparts Pre Matric Coaching for students

Jamshedpur: An eight months of pre matric coaching in the FY 2013 � 14 was provided by West Bokaro unit of Tata Steel through its CSR wing, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) to 374 students of Jharkhand Academic Council�s Annual Secondary Board Examination. As per the recently declared result, out of 374 students who appeared for the board examination 364 students (97.3per cent) were declared successful. A total of 28 students scored more than 70 per cent marks and 153 students scored first division.

Out of 5 coaching centres in West Bokaro, the coaching centre at Badgaon performed well, in which a total of 78 students appeared for the examination of which 42 students (53per cent) scored 1st division.

Sanjay Rajoria, General Manager West Bokaro congratulated all the successful students and wished them a brighter future. He said that Tata Steel is committed to give all type of support for their primary as well as professional education.

West Bokaro division has been also been running various programmes for the upliftment of village youths in different areas. It sponsors students in NTTF, ITI Tamar and also provides training through Indian Institute of hardware technology (IIHT), ITI and Nursing training.

Pre-Matriculation coaching is one of the key educational interventions of CSR wing of Tata Steel, West Bokaro Division, wherein it seeks to ensure that quality education is made accessible to the needy and eager students from marginalized communities.

The primary aim behind pre matric coaching is to strengthen the basic concepts for quality education, which can further be reflected in their performance in matriculation examination. The coaching class aims to guide and improve the performance of the students in three subjects which were English, Mathematics and Science.
