Over the past two years, the Clubfoot Elimination Project has successfully identified and enrolled more than 80 children affected by clubfoot in East Singhbhum. The children are receiving treatment through the Ponseti Method, a globally accepted, non-surgical and cost-effective corrective approach that enables early intervention and long-term mobility.
The success of the programme is attributed to the collective efforts of families, MANSI+ team and government frontline health workers, and the dedicated volunteering efforts of orthopaedic surgeons, DNB residents, dressers, and medical staff from TMH and Sadar Hospital. Their commitment, technical expertise, and compassionate care have played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of affected children.
During the felicitation ceremony, doctors, residents, and dressers were honoured for their voluntary service and contribution to the programme. Families of children undergoing treatment were also recognized for their resilience and perseverance throughout the demanding correction process.
