Chaibasa: Tata Steel Foundation has donated a computer set to the Maskal Library, located in Kumarhatu village under the Sadar block. The computer was handed over in the presence of Block Development Officer of Kuchai, Sadhu Charan Devgam, by Shivshankar Kandeyang, Tribal Identity Manager of the Foundation. The library custodians present at the event included village head of Matkamahatu Panchayat Juliana Devgam, teacher Krishna Devgam, Somay Devgam, Maskal Foundation President Surja Devgam, and Secretary Turam Devgam.
Students and library custodians expressed joy at receiving the computer set, acknowledging the importance of technology in today’s learning environment. Shivshankar Kandeyang suggested that every child using the library should be given the opportunity to learn computer skills so they are proficient not just with the pen but also with modern technology. Among the students present were Aman Devgam, Soma Devgam, and Ram Devgam.
