Jamshedpur, June 18: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) on Friday handed over medical oxygen cylinders to NHM, Jharkhand government through a notional gesture to East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner, Suraj Kumar at the District collectorate.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Suraj Kumar said that in view of the COVID-19 prevalence, the Tata Steel Foundation as its CSR had provided 3,000 medical oxygen cylinders to NHM, Jharkhand government including 700 meant for the district. he said, “Amid possibilities of the third COVID wave, these oxygen cylinders would further boost protective and curative preparations. ,East Singhbhum has been given 100 cylinders that will be sent to all government hospitals, CHCs and others so that there is no shortage of medical oxygen supply. The remaining 600 will be distributed among other treatment centres after identifying them.”
Also present on the occasion were DDC Parmeshwar Bhagat, ACMO Dr Sahir Paul, ADM (L&O) Nand Kishor Lal, Director DRDA Saurabh Sinha, DPO Ajay Kumar and representatives of Tata Steel Foundation.
