Jamshedpur : Tata Steel on Wednesday flagged off the Dayara Bugyal expedition in Uttarkashi, beginning Oct 3. The trekkers have all undergone specially designed training and mentorship from Tata Steel Adventure Foundation.
The trekking to the Dayara Bugyal is filled with most unusual and exciting adventures, making it a favored destination for the adventure seekers. Situated at an elevation ranging from 10,000-12,000 ft. this vast meadow is second to none in natural beauty in Uttaranchal. The team will begin the expedition on October 3rd, 2014 and will continue their journey till October 14th, 2014.
Out of team of 22, 15 are visually impaired and rest will accompany them on the trek to help them through the terrains. The team is trained, guided and mentored under the aegis of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation will be led by Everester Rajendra Singh Pal, Manager at Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF).
The 15 enthusiasts for the trek are Atul Ranjan Sahay, Sr manager Corporate Sustainability with Tata Steel at Jamshedpur; Manoj Goel, a businessman dealing in handicraft at Mussoorie; Nikita Jain, works for SCORE Foundation at Delhi; K Anantha Kumar, with Cenral Bank of India at Motihari (Bihar); Amandeep Arya, with State Education Department, Dehradun; AshasushmitaG, with State Bank of Mysore at Bangalore; Chandrani De, AVP Sharobi Technologies, Singapore; Geetanjali Khatri, trained Graduate Teacher with Govt. of Delhi; Mandvi Garg, Manager at Oriental Bank of Commerce, Hissar (Haryana); Manvendra Singh Patwal, with Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi; Pallavi SJ, Principal Content Writer at 22By4 and a Freelance Journalist, Bangalore; Pranav Lal, Information Security professional with Vodafone at Delhi ; Pranay Gadodia, Recruiter at Deustsche Bank Bangalore; Milan Mittal, proprietor, CM Corporate Delhi; Sunil Sangtani, Director Chandra International Jaipur

They teach you how to deal with critical situations, they force discipline and leadership qualities, humility, courage, self-respect, overcome fear besides bringing one in contact with people from different areas and different cultures.”
