Jamshedpur, September 4: Tata Steel has enhanced its evening diploma program for employees, with a new agreement allowing 250 employees to enroll. The program is open to trade and non-trade apprentices who have worked with the company for at least two years. Non-trade apprentices must have completed the TJTS module or have worked for at least four years if the module is not applicable.
The upgraded diploma course includes a bridge course for employees who have completed professional courses from other institutes, such as AMIE or AMIM, and are awaiting final exams or results. Successful completion of the bridge course will result in a diploma certificate. This benefit is available until April 1, 2027. Employees pursuing degrees from non-AICTE-recognized institutions will not be eligible for this program. Future diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate courses in engineering and technology must be pursued at AICTE-recognized institutions, impacting employee promotions accordingly.
