Tata Steel defeats Journalists 5-0 in football friendly

Jamshedpur, June 30: Sports Journalists of city were shown the door during a football friendly as Tata Steel officials defeated them by 5-0 in the match played at Tube Makers Club on Sunday.

Tata Steel players dominated the proceedings from the kick off as sports journalists� team failed to make an impact in the 30 minute match apart from the goalkeeper, Aditya Jha who was the lone savior and made some crucial saves or the score line would have been more appalling for journalists.

Rajeev Kumar scored the first goal for the Tata Steel followed by Aarif. Sports journalists� teams were down and out after the first two goals as Satish Kumar netted one against to take the lead to 3-0.

Dominating the match Tata Steel�s Aslam scored the fourth goal while Amitesh�s goal the fifth for his side was the icing on the cake as the score line read 5-0. Jusco MD Ashish Mathur and Kulvin Suri (Chief, Corporate Communications, Tata Steel) were the stand out and presented a superb performance.

At the prize distribution function OP Mishra (GM Logistics, Tata Steel) along with his wife Kusum Mishra handed over the winners and runners up trophy. From the champion�s side Rajiv Kumar while from the runners up Aditya Jha were awarded the man of the match. Ashok Ghosh was the referee for the match.

From Tata Steel side Jusco MD Ashish Mathur, Kulvin Suri, Ritu Raj, Ashish, Rajiv Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Satish Kumar, Aarif, Anitesh, Neeraj and Aslam played.

From Sports Journalist side Jayesh Thaker, Jayprakash Rai, Ratan joshi, Aditya Jha, Niranjan, Niranjan Singh, Jitendra Singh, Srinivas, Sridhar, Jeenamani, Manpreet Bhatia and Parvinder Bhatia played.
