Jamshedpur: In a notable achievement, Tata Steel has been honored with nine awards in the five-star rating category for its coal mines. The prestigious Star Rating Awards were conferred during the Star Rating Awards Ceremony 2023 held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The awards were presented by Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Coal, Mines, and Parliamentary Affairs, along with Sanjay Rajoria, General Manager of Jharia Division at Tata Steel, and other officials. The recognition extends to the company’s underground coal mines, encompassing four collieries in Jharia, as well as open-cast mines in West Bokaro.
This recognition underscores Tata Steel’s commitment to excellence and adherence to high standards in coal mining operations. The awards not only acknowledge the company’s achievements but also reinforce its dedication to sustainable and responsible practices in the mining sector.
