Jamshedpur: Tata Steel management and staff paid last tributes to Russi Mody, former managing director of TISCO, who passed away on 16th May last in Kolkata, at a condolence programme organized on Monday at Centre of Excellence, Bistupur.
Tata Steel managing director TV Narendran and other management staff of the company paid homage to late Mody during the condolence function. Many other dignitaries and citizens of the city too, paid tributes to the charismatic man who is survived by a glorious past of his work and achievements.
Tata Steel MD saluted the former TISCO MD for his extraordinary potential and performance and his skills of man management and industrial relations. Many other corporate personalities gathered during the condolence meet today and spoke about the brilliant professional record of Russi Mody as the management leader of TISCO, now known as Tata Steel.
�Russi Mody was a true leader. The Man of Steel, as he was fondly known, will always be remembered for his endearing persona and exemplary contribution to Indian Industry. We at Tata SAteel deeply mourn his sad demise,� a condolence message issued by the company on Sunday read.
Russi Mody was born on 17th January, 1918. He was popular among the people and reputed for his man management skills. He passed away at a nursing home in Kolkata near his residence.
Many people from the corporate houses and other walks of life condoled his death. Many dignitaries are expected to attend the condolence going to be organized by Tata Steel tomorrow.
