Jamshedpur: Former MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajay Kumar will keep working for the people of the city. He will not leave the Jamshedpur constituency. Instead he will continue serving the people like he did before. This was said on Monday by Jharkhand Vikas Morcha general secretary Abhay Singh at the party office at Kasidih. He said the former MP will keep coming to Jamshedpur by taking time out for the people of the city.
Abhay Singh, in a bid to scotch rumours that Dr Ajay Kumar was disenchanted with politics after his defeat in the Lok Sabha election, said the former MP had sent his resignation to party president Babulal Marandi, though he was still willing to work as a party activist.
The general election of 2014 has proved that JVMs supporters have increased as compared to the year 2011. Dr Ajay Kumar has secured 1 lakh more votes as compared to the total votes cast in his favour during the by-election of 2011. The people have cast their vote keeping in mind the politics in New Delhi. They were not against Dr Ajay Kumar in particular, said Abhay Singh.
The JVM leader said the district administration should take action against Bharatiya Janata Party activists who were breaking into the shops and houses of JVM activists in the enthusiasm of their candidates victory in Jamshedpur. He said the newly elected MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato should keep the promises made by Narendra Modi in Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency.
