Jamshedpur, March 3: Tata Steel Vice Chairman Noel Tata Friday said the company and Tata Workers Union (TWU) were together doing a great work. He was addressing a gathering of company officials and union office-bearers on his visit to the TWU office.

Tata said he was feeling good on coming to Jamshedpur. He said he had grown up in an environment of industrial relations. “My father was elected to International Labour Organization to represent India, a post he held for 50 years,” he said.

Tata Steel VP HRM Atrayee Sanyal was also present on this occasion. Tata and other dignitaries were welcomed with books and mementos. TWU president Sanjeev Choudhary Tunnu informed Tata about the work being jointly done by the company management and the union. A film on the 100 years of the union was also screened for the dignitaries. The guests were informed about TWU’s history. Tata also visited Gopal Heritage and paid floral tribute to former TWU presiden VG Gopal. Tata Steel VP CS Chanakya Chaudhary, Chief Group, HR and IR, Zubin Palia and Security Chief Arvind Sinha wree also present during the programme.
