Jamshedpur, Sep 29: The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) athletes swept the 26th IMF East Zone Sport Climbing Championship 2024, winning an impressive 52 out of 54 medals, including all the gold medals. The event took place from September 26 to 29 at the Tata Steel Sport Climbing Academy in JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur.
The event featured over 150 climbers from Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, and Odisha, competing in three events: Lead, Speed, and Bouldering.

Athletes from various age groups—Sub Junior Boys and Girls, Junior Boys and Girls, and Open Men’s and Women’s—demonstrated their exceptional climbing skills throughout the day.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Avinash Tripathy, District Sports Officer (East Singhbhum), and Amit Kumar, District Sports Officer (Saraikela-Kharsawan). Both dignitaries congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavors. They witnessed the finals of various events during the competition.
Prashant Jee from JCAPCPL, the grassroot development partner of TSAF Sport Climbing Academy, was one of the main guests of this competition. JCAPCPL has been instrumental in helping TSAF in developing 500 grassroots climbers and in supporting the hosting of major international sport climbing competitions in Jamshedpur.
