Jamshedpur, Nov 18: The dates for the Tata Motors Workers’ Union Election (2025-‘27) have been announced. Election Officer Chidanand Khandai officially declared the election schedule. With the announcement, election excitement has increased on the shop floor. On November 26, a new President and General Secretary for the Tata Motors Workers Union will be elected.

Voting will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM, followed by vote counting at 6 PM in the Old Canteen Communication Hall. Once counting is completed, a meeting of the newly elected committee members will be held. “Voting for the Union election will take place on November 26. The notice has been posted and all election activities will be held in the Old Canteen Communication Hall. All preparations have been made for a fair and transparent election,” said Chidanand Khandai, Election Officer.

The first agenda will be co-option, followed by the election of officers, which is expected to continue until late at night.

In the Tata Motors Workers’ Union, which has 5,516 members, elections will be held for 85 committee members and 25 office-bearers. The voting will first determine the 85 committee members, who will then elect the 25 office bearers. The union’s three-year term ends on December 31, 2024, but the entire election process will be completed on November 26.

The President, General Secretary and Treasurer are single posts, while there are two slots each for Executive President and Joint General Secretary, eight for Vice Presidents and ten for Assistant Secretaries. Chidanand Khandai has been appointed as the Election Officer to oversee the election. He will be supported by a four-member subcommittee consisting Gaurav Kumar, Totan Banerjee, Dhananjay Kumar Mishra and Durgesh Kumar.
