Tata Motors Workers Union Jamshedpur agrees on fresh elections for vacant seats

Jamshedpur, June 3:In a routine committee meeting of the Tata Motors Workers Union, chaired by President Gurmeet Singh Tote and led by General Secretary RK Singh, consensus was reached to conduct fresh elections for two vacant seats. The meeting, held on Monday, addressed various issues concerning the workforce, highlighting recent achievements and ongoing concerns.

Members of the committee raised area-specific problems, expressing satisfaction over the revival of the Multi Skill Scheme after a six-year hiatus. The successful implementation of quality uniforms and the installation of new TMT machines in the hospital were also commended, reflecting a positive impact on worker satisfaction.

General Secretary RK Singh reiterated the union’s commitment to addressing employee grievances and pledged to resolve them through appropriate channels. He emphasized the union’s dedication to supporting apprenticeship initiatives, ensuring opportunities for those who have completed training programs but are yet to secure employment.

Acknowledging the retirement of two committee members, PK Mohanty and Chalpat Ray, Singh proposed initiating the electoral process to fill the vacant positions, in accordance with the registered constitution. The proposal received unanimous approval from the attendees.

President Gurmeet Singh Tote assured continuous efforts in addressing the concerns raised by the workforce and expressed optimism in electing capable representatives for the vacant seats. The meeting concluded with Hardeep Singh Saini delivering a vote of thanks, and Prakash Vishwakarma overseeing the proceedings.
