Tata Motors Workers Union Plans Elections for Vacant Posts

Jamshedpur: The Tata Motors Workers Union held a high-level committee meeting on Tuesday at Gopeshwar Hall, chaired by Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad. The session focused on reviewing the recently concluded wage settlement and organizing upcoming internal elections.

During the meeting, committee members hailed the recent wage revision as “historic” and beneficial for the workforce. The members expressed their full confidence in the leadership, congratulating RK Singh, Shashi Bhushan Prasad, and Pravin Singh for securing a favorable agreement.

  • General Secretary RK Singh noted that the union successfully negotiated all points raised during the grade revision with the management. He also praised the social service initiatives of the Fans Club.

  • President Shashi Bhushan Prasad attributed the union’s recent successes—including blood donation records, the installation of Tata Saheb’s statue, and the grade settlement—to the unity of the laborers and the coordination of the leadership.

  • Advisor Pravin Singh remarked that the leadership effectively demonstrated how to secure “fair pay for hard work” and urged members to continue their support for even better future results.

By-elections and Five-Member Election Committee

The union officially decided to hold elections to fill three vacant positions (one committee member and two officials) following the retirement of the previous incumbents. To oversee this process, the union formed a five-member election committee, which the attendees approved unanimously by a show of hands.
