Tata Motors Workers Union by-election schedule announced, voting on April 17

Jamshedpur: The process for by-elections to fill three vacant posts—vice president, assistant secretary and committee member—in the Tata Motors Workers Union (TMWU) has officially begun following retirements. The election schedule was released after a notice was displayed on April 10, followed by the publication of election rules, constituency details and the voter list on April 11.

As per the announced schedule, the final voter list will be published on April 13, along with the distribution of nomination forms from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On April 14, nomination papers will be submitted and the list of candidates will be published after scrutiny on the same day.

April 15 has been set aside for withdrawal of nominations, after which the final list of candidates will be released. On April 16, the specimen ballot paper will be issued. The voting process will take place on April 17, followed by counting of votes and declaration of results for the newly elected executive members.
