Plant Head hoists Tricolour in Telco

Jamshedpur, Aug 16: Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant Head Vishal Badshah hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Independence Day at Sumant Moolgaonkar Stadium, Telco, on Monday. He congratulated all employees and citizens on this occasion.
In his address, Badshah said the company was working sincerely to enhance safety levels in all places in the company as safety of employees, processes, products and stakeholders was vital for the company.

“Consistent participation of our employees in safety action meetings and safety kaizen is a clear reflection of their commitment to safety. We have created an online library of various types of engineering controls implemented to improve safety levels at our workplaces. It provides us a vast knowledge bank for easy reference and fast implementation,” he said.
Badshah said a digital intervention had been started in the company’s operations including road safety to improve safety levels of workplaces, products and processes. Pelican Road Crossing and Automatic Measurement and Display are some examples, he said, adding further that the safety teams were working continuously for improvement in safety inside the plant and of the people in the colony. “Under the road safety improvement work, we have identified various hotspots in the colony. Improvement in traffic discipline, arrangement to reduce crowding during start and break-up of schools, construction of speed breakers, road dividers and zebra crossings at earmarked places are some of the special steps being taken,” he said.
Badshah said the company’s medical teams were running Covid vaccination drive in collaboration with the Government in the company and other institutions such as GE Hostel and Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya. So far more than three lakh vaccines have been administered, he said while urging everyone to follow the Covid protocol and guidelines.
The Plant Head congratulated SDT teams, their mentors and associates for winning 69 prizes at the 23rd All India Creativity Summit organized in July 2022 by the Indian National Suggestion Schemes Association (INSSAN) in New Delhi for the Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant under various categories.
Badhsah threw light on the various initiatives taken by the company in the conservation of environment, energy, water and other natural resources. He also spoke on the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the company.
Badhsah said the cooperative approach of the union and the management and their joint efforts had further strengthened the SDT and quality circle of the plant and termed it as a strong pillar for the company’s success.
