Jamshedpur, August 10: MANASI, the Tata Motors Officers Wives Association, held its Annual Girl Child Scholarship Program on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Telco Club. Ravindra Kulkarni, Head of the Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Senior officers of Tata Motors, along with doctors, teachers, students, and representatives from NGOs, were also present at the programme.
Members of the MANASI managing committee including President Rashmi Kulkarni, Secretary Sarita Kumar, Joint Secretary Reena Padan, Treasurer Ranjana Narayan, and Joint Treasurer Jyothi Battu, shared updates on the organization’s various initiatives.
In addition to its efforts in health, hygiene, environment, and livelihood support, MANASI has been dedicated in promoting education for girls. This year, the organization awarded scholarships to 150 girl students from economically weaker families studying in 17 different schools across the city.
MANASI’s recent contributions included the installation of sanitary napkin incinerators at Madhya evam Uch Vidyalaya and Vidyasagar Uch Vidyalaya in November 2023. In January, the association donated sewing machines to the Vikas showroom to improve livelihood opportunities. In March 2024, MANASI supported Samudaik Uch Vidyalaya in Barigora by funding the repair and renovation of washrooms, installing a water cooler, and providing chairs for the teaching staff.
MANASI continues to make long-term, comprehensive, and holistic contributions to the community.
