Jamshedpur: A Tata Motors employee, identified as Raj Kumar, died in a road mishap in Telco on Tuesday.
According to sources, the mishap occurred near Labour Bureau when the deceased was returning home from his A shift duty. The Birsanagar resident was knocked down by a speeding truck chassis. He was critically injured in the incident. He died at the scene.
After the incident, local residents and commuters caught the errant driver after a chase. The driver reportedly tried to flee after the incident. He was handed over to police.
Telco police reached the scene and sent the body of the deceased to MGM Medical College for post mortem examination. Several company officials and colleagues of the deceased reached the spot and expressed grief over the tragic incident.
