Jamshedpur, March 10: Tata Motors has announced plans to hold its apprentice exam in April, marking a significant opportunity for aspiring candidates. In a notable development, the company will reinstate apprentices based on previous agreements, extending eligibility to the children of its employees.
Under the agreement facilitated by Tata Motors Union President Gurmeet Singh Tote, General Secretary RK Singh, and advisor Praveen Singh, children of employees will now have the chance to become apprentices and subsequently secure employment within the company. This agreement also entails providing diploma and engineering courses to these apprentices, with postings to be based in Jamshedpur.
Registration for the children of employees, previously closed for several years, is set to commence in April, offering fresh opportunities for reinstatement. Additionally, ongoing efforts to regularize temporary employees are expected to be completed by April, further facilitating job opportunities for employees’ children.
In a bid to ensure stability and retention of its workforce, Tata Motors has also implemented measures to prevent employee transfers, ensuring that all staff members remain in Jamshedpur.
